In the second installment, Van and Taissa stumbled upon his secret hideout. They returned him to the camp, but little did they know that Javi had been hiding beneath a unique tree and using a nearby geothermal spring-heated cavern as his sanctuary.

Despite having a survival story that initially captivated us, Javi’s tale sadly comes to an end in Yellowjackets Season 2 Episode 8. With the team facing imminent starvation, they make a grim decision to resort to cannibalism and select Nat as the sacrifice. Unsurprisingly, she panics and runs away from the scene. However, Javi pursues her.

For the first time since coming back, Javi shares the story about the tree that provided him refuge for months. But his tale is abruptly ended when the ice under his feet shatters, causing him to plunge into the frigid river. As everyone looks on in shock, Javi’s life seeps away in the icy water.
