It’s pleasing to note that With Elden Ring Nightreign, FromSoftware has allowed the fearsome bosses known as The Fell Omen from Elden Ring to roam the Lands Between.
In the game Elden Ring, Morgott – a boss character who players eventually encounter during the campaign – is quite notorious. Throughout the storyline, phantom versions of Morgott might unexpectedly appear, adding an element of surprise. It appears this aspect of Morgott has been incorporated in Nightreign, as an unnamed Fell Omen (which can be thought of as a more advanced version of Morgott), can suddenly invade players with jump-scares.
In Nightreign, Morgott isn’t the sole boss capable of infiltrating your group during gameplay, but he certainly fits the role well. This mirrors his unexpected encounters in Elden Ring and even includes additional voice lines and fresh maneuvers designed to challenge you. Given that you can have two companions join the battle, it’s only logical for Morgott to receive some new tricks!
Although it may attack you, the Fell Omen could also serve as a final boss that appears at dusk during the Elden Ring Nightreign trial, marking one of the decisive battles you might encounter as night falls.
It’s hard to believe Morgott found a way to infiltrate Nightreign yet again for another battle against us, considering his long-standing animosity toward our kind. This isn’t the first time, either.

During the recent Elden Ring Nightreign playtests, many early testers, including the player famously known as “Let Me Solo Her,” encountered the Fell Omen. Overall, it seems that Morgott/Margit/Fell Omen is widely regarded as a tough adversary.
On the Elden Ring Nightreign online forum, a player praised Morgott’s invasion method as one of their preferred aspects, and numerous others echoed similar experiences of being invaded. From serving as a nighttime boss, appearing on an elevator, or showing up in a tower, it seems that Morgott can pop up anywhere, sometimes leading to unexpectedly humorous outcomes.
Unexpected attacks by The Fell Omen spark anticipation for more adversaries to unexpectedly confront the players. For instance, The Pursuer from Dark Souls 2 could be an ideal choice. Personally, I’d welcome invasions by Hunters, but any Bloodborne-inspired events seem more like a remote possibility at best.
In Elden Ring, they made the character named Margit stronger; Nightreign’s sparring partner was practicing with Vergil.
I appreciate that I got to play just one match in LOL.

As a gamer, I can’t help but wonder if there are hidden depths to the Fell Omen invasions in this game. Recently, GamesRadar shared an account where one of their co-op partners was taken down by an Omen invasion, and it looked like a strange curse symbol was left on the fallen player. I can’t wait to see how this game unfolds as more players get to dive into its mysteries.
Despite encountering server problems during its initial test, a significant number of players managed to explore the Lands Between over the weekend. We’ll have to observe how everything settles down on May 30th, but in the meantime, don’t forget to read our own firsthand experiences with Elden Ring Nightreign here.
