Despite being fully engaged with promoting “Reacher Season 3,” Alan Ritchson has shared some exciting news – confirming that “Blue Mountain State” will indeed return for a fourth season in 2024. This popular teen sitcom initially aired in 2010, concluding after three seasons in November 2011. Since then, it’s amassed a dedicated fanbase, prompting Amazon Prime Video to greenlight a fourth season back in February 2024. Though updates have been scarce since then, Ritchson assures us that production on the upcoming season is moving along smoothly.
Alan Ritchson confirms Blue Mountain State Season 4’s release on Prime Video
During a recent chat, the 42-year-old actor, known for his role as Thad Castle in Blue Mountain State, mentioned that although Season 4 is coming up, at the moment he’s working on finding time for it amidst his packed schedule.
During his visit at NASCAR’s Daytona 500, Alan Ritchson shared news about both Reacher Season 3 and Blue Mountain State Season 4. He expressed his intention to make a fourth season for BMS fit into his schedule by saying, “We’re making the fourth season happen.” Later, he hinted at an exceptional upcoming season, stating, “I believe it will be the best season of BMS we’ve ever produced. It’s incredibly hilarious, and it perfectly revives the characters while bringing them up-to-date with modern times.
Ritchson also shared his enthusiasm for going back to the show created by Chris Romano, stating, “There’s just so much potential for exploring new aspects of Thad, and I believe it’s going to be an entertaining ride!
After being concluded in 2011, BMS subsequently led to a 2016 film titled “Blue Mountain State: The Rise of Thadland.” This means that Blue Mountain State Season 4 will mark the first expansion of the franchise since the premiere of the movie directed by Lev L. Spiro. However, the release date for this new installment has yet to be announced by its producers.
