In my perspective, I was truly captivated by Tovino Thomas‘s outstanding performance in his latest project, Identity. Guided by Akhil Paul and Anas Khan, this production also features Trisha Krishnan and Vinay Rai in key roles. This film has been lauded extensively by the audience and, to my delight, it’s thriving on various OTT platforms as well.
To set the record straight, there has been chatter circulating about me demanding a high fee for a certain project. I want to clarify that while I value my work and skills, I always strive to maintain fair and reasonable compensation in all my endeavors as part of my commitment to the art and industry.
The whole situation unfolded when a well-known film director spoke about the escalating costs of movie production, attributing it to exorbitant fees demanded by the actor portraying the Forensic role. He additionally accused Tovino of suggesting a promotional scheme involving Identity, where a helicopter would be utilized.
Now, Raju Malliath, the creator of the Malayalam action film, has come forward to refute these claims. As reported by Cinema Express, he clarified that it was not Tovino who initially proposed the helicopter stunt for the film.
Furthermore, he praised the actor for demonstrating remarkable kindness by offering to cover the production costs, despite the fact that his payment for the film hadn’t been settled yet.
Tovino went ahead and guaranteed making another movie with the same production company down the line, should any losses arise from Identity, and moreover, he played a role in securing a prominent distribution company for the film following the departure of the initial one.
In summary, Raju mentioned that Tovino hadn’t proposed nor hinted at the need for a marketing campaign. Instead, when I acknowledged my thanks, he responded with, “It’s our movie, buddy.
In continuation, it’s been announced that Tovino Thomas will take on significant roles in two eagerly awaited films. First, he’ll be working under the direction of Prithviraj Sukumaran in the upcoming project titled L2: Empuraan. Additionally, he has joined the cast for Yash’s exciting movie entitled Toxic.
