How To Use A Sleeping Potion On Enemies In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, it isn’t always possible to settle disputes through open combat. Sometimes, it’s more advantageous to engage in tactics that don’t involve direct fighting. For instance, if you’re focusing on a stealth-oriented character, openly killing people can lead to unwanted attention and reputation issues down the line. Additionally, sneaking up on people without them noticing might seem challenging.

It’s often said that the ideal moment to burglarize someone is when they’re fast asleep. But it can be tiresome to pass the entire night, waiting for an NPC to drift off naturally. This is where a Lullaby potion proves useful. By adding this potion to cooking pots, you can make enemies fall asleep more quickly.

How To Put Enemies To Sleep

There are several methods to make opponents unconscious, either by delivering an incapacitating blow (leaving them asleep or awake) or by applying a calming Lullaby potion to them.

Knock-outs temporarily knock out your adversaries, preventing them from regaining consciousness right away, whereas the Lullaby Potion hastens their slumber significantly compared to their natural sleeping pattern.

As a gamer, I’ve found that sleeping foes are easier to take down since they’re less aware of their surroundings. You can opt for a stealthy knockout to render them even more oblivious, but remember, those who are knocked out or attacked while sleeping might still make some noise and alert their comrades.

This tool proves particularly helpful in situations with numerous individuals gathered together, or when multiple people are resting close by, for instance, in bandit hideouts.

How To Use A Lullaby Potion

To truly make a Non-Player Character (NPC) fall asleep, you should administer a Sleeping Draught. This Sleeping Draught, once consumed, will cause the target to feel drowsy and induce an early slumber, which is earlier than their usual bedtime.

To make someone ill with a Lullaby potion, you’ll first need to locate a suitable container such as a cooking pot, cauldron, nearby water source, or wine barrel. Basically, any item an NPC consumes from during the day can be tainted with the poison.

To contaminate a food or drink supply, move towards it and select the ‘‘Add Potion’‘ option. Then, you will be asked to ‘pick a potion‘ from your collection and pour it into the container. Now, you can add your ‘Lullaby potion‘ into it.

For several quests like the ‘Mice’ sidequest, having the Lullaby potion will be quite useful. I recommend learning this potion as soon as possible. You might also obtain a free Lullaby potion by chance encountering ‘Happy Man,’ or by finding it in the stables of Semine.

Sleeping draughts aren’t immediate solutions, so remember to locate a secure area where you can rest or stay put temporarily while passing the time.

After a short while (ranging from a few minutes up to several hours based on when the poisoned container was set), the NPCs will drink the Lullaby potion and retire for the night. At this point, you’re free to make a choice: either incapacitate them, loot their possessions, or eliminate them, all depending on your preferred game strategy.
