In the “For Victory!” Quest of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, you’ll find various optional tasks at hand. One engaging side quest is presented to you by Knight Hermann Littlehead. It appears that he has a grudge against Florian and seeks to settle scores for his past jests.
In that location, you have the opportunity to lend a helping hand. Following your proposal, he may include you in his scheme to pilfer Florian’s ring and subsequently gift it to the friend of the damsel who played a prank with the ring. Herein, we’ll guide you towards locating the ring.
Where To Find Florian’s Ring
Once you’ve finished speaking with Hermann Littlehead, face the opposite direction and locate the door on your left. Open it, then move to the door on your right, proceed through it, and exit. Now, walk straight ahead and soon, you’ll see a pathway on your right that leads upwards. Follow this staircase as it ascends, passing through the kitchen and continuing to climb until you reach your destination.
Be certain to grab a pair of lockpicks prior to reaching your destination since you’ll need them to unlock a chest. Although the task should prove simple, having an extra lockpick for emergencies could prove handy.
Moving forward shouldn’t pose much trouble; continue ascending until you spot a message at the upper right corner of your screen indicating that you’ve entered a restricted zone. However, be mindful of the guards as you climb, and you’ll eventually come across a red door.
Ensure you move quietly and stay low when in secluded spots to avoid drawing unwanted notice. This tactic makes it less likely that people will spot you.
Climb the stairs twice, and you’ll find a door on your right. Go through it to enter the room, where you’ll spot Florian’s ring in a chest directly in front of you.
Upon unlocking the crimson-hued entrance, you’ll likely spot a sentinel standing post. Keeping a low profile around this zone is advisable to avoid any unwanted encounters with him. It’s also worth noting that he occasionally ventures into Florian’s chamber, so if such an event occurs, employing a silent takedown technique might help incapacitate him temporarily without causing harm.
Utilize a lockpick to unlock the chest and make off with the ring. Once obtained, return and inform Hermann of this new development.
Pranking Florian
After obtaining the ring, it’s your chance to pull a small joke on Florian. However, before doing so, you need to have a conversation with Hermann first. Upon talking to him, Hermann will suggest that it’s time for a prank on Florian. You are free to either agree or decline this suggestion. If you decide to proceed, Hermann will inform you about who you should approach and give the ring to. Therefore, your next step is to speak with Adleta from Straz. Once there, Henry will pass a small gift to her.
If you choose not to pull a prank on Florian, there’s no need to fret about damaging your standing with Hermann or otherwise. Instead, Hermann will appreciate your gesture by accepting the ring and handling the situation himself. As a token of gratitude, he’ll present you with Weak Saviour Schnapps and 100 Groschen as a reward.
She will ask who it is from and here you will be given three options to choose from:
- Hermann Littlehead.
- A shy friend.
- From me.
If you select the initial option, Henry will express that it symbolizes a particular man’s goodwill, prompting Adelta to inquire about the identity of the person. At this point, Florian will step in and assert that Hermann is involved in the situation.
In this scenario, Florian is challenging you to a confrontation, which could be a verbal or physical duel depending on the context. You have two options: either prove your worth by accepting the challenge and demonstrating your dominance, or employ your persuasive skills and use words to avoid the altercation if you believe you have enough influence to do so. If you decide to engage in a fight with Florian, he will request that you meet him outside for the battle. Essentially, your objective is to defeat Florian to conclude the quest at hand.
If you pick the second choice, she’ll identify the ring and challenge Florian, suspecting he’s been unfaithful. That’s what Hermann desired, since it would lead to further insults from her.
If you select the third option, Florian immediately begins to belittle Henry by referring to him as a commoner. Moreover, the lady next to Florian recognizes the ring, which will expose your identity. Consequently, you’ll tarnish your reputation and Florian will challenge you to a duel outside. In essence, the first and third options lead to the same outcomes.
Instead, drop by Hermann’s place, and he’ll share a hearty chuckle over what happened. If I manage to pull off the prank successfully, he’ll hand me Weak Saviour Schnapps, Strength of the Knight 3 book, and some Groschen as my reward!
