Marco OTT release: Raw version of Unni Mukundan’s film will not be out due to complaints; fans feel disappointed

Marco, featuring Unni Mukundan, premiered digitally on SonyLIV on Valentine’s Day. Contrary to the initial announcement, it appears there is no uncut or raw version available on the platform. Instead, due to multiple complaints, the theatrical cut of the movie has been released for streaming.

Originally, the creators of the movie Marco intended to publish the unedited version on streaming platforms. However, due to numerous objections from the Ministry of Broadcasting, they were prevented from doing so. As a conscientious production company, they adhered to all regulations and maintained the film’s core message.

As a result, they decided to make the same theatrical release available on streaming platforms. They are thrilled about sharing Marco with a larger audience on SonyLIV and look forward to more fan and viewer support.

As a conscientious film production company, we have adhered to all regulatory standards while preserving the film’s fundamental message and cinematic ambiance. Consequently, we are now releasing the same theatrical content on streaming services instead.
