Previously, Minetree has been featured in several short films and TV movies like “The Paramedic Who Stalked Me” from 2023 and “Crowdsource Murder” in 2024. She also made an appearance in a single episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.

What is the Legally Blonde prequel series about?

According to Variety, the official summary states that the story follows Elle Woods from high school, showing us the life events that molded her into the beloved, iconic character we met in the initial Legally Blonde movie.

Laura Kittrell has crafted the series, with her taking on the role of co-showrunner alongside Caroline Dries. They both hold the position of executive producers along with Reese Witherspoon, Lauren Neustadter, Lauren Kisilevsky, and Marc Platt.

I can’t express enough my enthusiasm for this series! Fans will delve into Elle Woods’ journey as a teenager, showcasing her unique character and resourcefulness in a way that only Elle could manage. As Witherspoon stated, this is truly exciting news! I am deeply thankful to the talented teams at Prime Video, Hello Sunshine, and our brilliant writer Laura Kittrell for bringing my dream of reviving Legally Blonde to life.

A premiere date for Elle has not yet been announced.
