He also hinted at his potential return in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 4, stating, “Drax is a character I’ve grown close to. If James Gunn were to reach out and ask me to reprise my role as Drax, I doubt my interest would be piqued.

Bautista expressed that his comeback in GOTG 4 would only occur if James Gunn resumes directing, but he mentioned this might not happen, as Gunn is now working at DC as co-CEO. He emphasized that Gunn has taken a new path in his career.

In a recent statement, the actor from Army of the Dead shared his desire to explore new characters in the future. He stated, “I’d love to dive into other roles within Marvel or DC universes. I’m an admirer of their worlds, comic books, and everything associated with them. Whether it’s Marvel, DC, I yearn to be a part of that realm.

In other words, Dave Bautista openly expressed his willingness to consider any role that either Gunn or the Russo Brothers might propose for him after discussing potential characters with them.
