What movies are included with IndiePix Unlimited’s Controversial Classics: German Cinema?
In this collection of German Cinema titled “Controversial Collections,” you’ll find five provocative movies: “Hansel, Gretel and The Seductive Witch” from 1970, “I Prefer Girls Who Are Unconventional” from 1973, “The Love Locks” from 1971, “Girls in the Office” also from 1971, and “Emmanuelle’s Erotic Retreat” from 1981.

Although German cinema is famed for its early contributions to silent films such as Metropolis, Nosferatu, and The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, directors like Fritz Lang, Wim Wenders, Werner Herzog, Rainer Werner Fassbinder, and others, along with their annual Berlin International Film Festival, have also produced some daring cinema that might make the Italian filmmaker Tinto Brass, known for his erotic films, feel embarrassed. This Valentine’s Day, subscribe to IndiePix Films on Amazon Prime Video and delve into some of Germany’s most provocative classics!
After the October release of a collection focusing on Italian cinema films, another set has emerged – this time, a German compilation of Controversial Classics. This new assembly includes Deadly Sweet from 1967, Paprika and Frivolous Lola from 1981, Messalina and Caligula from the same year, and Caligula: The Untold Story from 1982.
In August 2024, IndiePix Unlimited presented the collection titled “Controversial Classics: Dutch Cinema,” which encompassed films such as Obsessions (1969), Blue Movie (1971), Frank & Eva (1973), My Nights With Susan, Sandra, Olga & Julie (1975), and The Debut (1977).
