According to reports, Williams states in her affidavit that she’s once again capable of managing her life independently, without requiring a guardian. Additionally, she asserts that she do not suffer from Frontotemporal Dementia, a condition that doctors had earlier diagnosed her with in early 2024, along with aphasia.

Furthermore, it’s been reported that Wendy Williams is scheduled for a medical examination on the coming Tuesday. This examination will be performed by a physician selected by the attorney she recently retained to finalize her longstanding guardianship.

The article adds that if the judge rejects Williams’ petition to terminate her guardianship, she and her lawyer have a contingency plan: they will request a jury trial. In this trial, jurors would decide if Williams can manage her life independently without needing a guardian.
