Metal Gear Solid Delta’s Ape Escape content won’t be playable on all platforms

Based on the leaked information about Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, Konami has now made it official that the highly anticipated remake will be available for players to play starting August 28, 2025.

The upcoming remake for both PlayStation 5 and computer (PC) gamers brings back the classic Ape Escape content from the original PS2 game. Unfortunately, this feature is not accessible on Xbox Series consoles.

Xbox won’t get Metal Gear Solid Delta’s Ape Escape

The amusing Ape Escape content, originally planned for launch trailers on Xbox consoles, has been completely removed. In its place, the trailer now showcases a sequence of explosions and an outline of Bomberman, accompanied by the text: “Snake versus Unknown”.

As a devoted gamer, I can’t help but marvel at the stark contrast between Ape Escape and Bomberman. It’s evident that the Xbox mode they’ve introduced is not just a fresh coat of paint, but an entirely novel gaming experience we players have yet to fully explore!

Previously, Konami stated their intention to incorporate all potential Easter Eggs from the original PlayStation 2 game in the re-make of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. Given PlayStation’s tight history regarding IP licensing, it appears that the small Ape Escape content might not be accessible on Xbox consoles. Nevertheless, gamers will still have some content to engage with.
