Former AEW Star Miro Sparks WWE Return Speculation

There’s been a lot of buzz lately about the possibility of Miro, who recently left AEW, returning to WWE. The trio of Miro, Ricky Starks, and Malakai Black were all let go from Tony Khan’s promotion.

Miro signed with AEW back in 2020, however, since his win over Andrade at World’s End in December 2023, he hasn’t made an appearance. Initially, his contract was set to expire in 2026, but news broke out late in 2024 that he asked for his release. This week, AEW agreed to grant him this request.

After Ricky Starks and Malakai Black left, there was much talk about them possibly joining the WWE. Starks made his presence felt right away, debuting on WWE NXT this week to thunderous applause. He made a strong statement, letting the NXT brand know that he’s here and ready for action.

Following Ricky Starks’ WWE debut, there are indications that the organization is developing ideas for Malakai Black’s comeback. This leads to curiosity about what lies ahead for Miro, who is currently in good health and ready for action in the ring, but has been absent from AEW for more than a year.

As a die-hard wrestling fan, I’ve got some exciting news to share! You might remember him as Rusev from his WWE days, but he goes by Miro now. There’s been quite a buzz lately since he’s been spotted hanging out with the legendary Sheamus, the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Could this mean a long-awaited comeback? Only time will tell!

Miro seen with Sheamus following AEW release — WWE return incoming?

It’s common knowledge among fans that Miro and Sheamus have a strong bond from their time in the WWE. More recently, Sheamus posted a picture of them on platform X (previously known as Twitter), which has fueled rumors about whether Miro might be planning a comeback to the WWE.

In 2018, Miro’s Rusev Day character became a huge hit among fans, but WWE didn’t make the most of its success. Now that Vince McMahon is out and Triple H has taken over, there’s speculation about whether this change in leadership could mean Miro returns and Rusev Day gets revived again. We’ll have to wait and see.
