On February 12, there was great anticipation as Vijay Deverakonda’s upcoming film, previously known as VD12, revealed its title and teaser. Now officially named “Kingdom,” the action-thriller has sparked excitement across social media platforms. Amidst the buzz, even Rashmika Mandanna, who is busy promoting Chhaava, couldn’t resist sharing her thoughts on it.

Discussing the Kingdom trailer, it showcases Vijay Deverakonda in an impactful character. In this role, he portrays a relentless guardian, wholly committed to shielding his community. Concurrently, the film’s creators have announced its premiere on May 30, 2025.

One standout feature of the teaser is its narrative voiceover. In Telugu, it’s Jr NTR who provides the voice, while Tamil speakers will recognize Suriya’s voice. The Hindi version is narrated by Ranbir Kapoor, and it goes by the title ‘Saamraajya’.

The narrative takes place in a landscape scarred by war, where individuals strive to live amidst turmoil. As disorder prevails, a figure emerges as their champion. Vijay’s latest appearance, characterized by a close crop and substantial beard, accentuates his dramatic change. Anirudh Ravichander’s potent background music intensifies the overall effect.

Under the direction of Gowtam Tinnanuri from Jersey, the film is set to deliver pulse-pounding action sequences. According to recent reports, actor Vijay will portray a police officer, although specifics about his role have yet to be revealed.

Initially, the movie Kingdom was set for a theater release on March 28, 2025. But to prevent a conflict with Pawan Kalyan’s Hari Hara Veera Mallu: Part 1 – Sword vs Spirit, the producers opted to reschedule the film’s premiere date.
