In the PlayStation State of Play event, Sony’s platforms were set to reveal new content in February. Among the surprises was a reemergence of a beloved Sega franchise, Shinobi, which is undergoing a modern revival. Sega unveiled Shinobi: Art of Vengeance, a 2D action platformer game. Interestingly, this title is being developed by LizardCube, the same team that collaborated with Dotemu on Streets of Rage 4.
This past week, Sony and Sega unveiled Shinobi: Art of Vengeance in the PlayStation State of Play February 2025 event. The game’s launch date was confirmed as August 29, 2025, and it will be available on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
