Anyone But You Director Making Raunchy Comedy Movie Titled One Night Only for Universal

Anyone But You director Will Gluck has found his next project: One Night Only.

In the realm of gaming, December 2023 saw the grand unveiling of “Anyone But You,” a blockbuster movie from Sony Pictures Releasing in the United States. This flick, inspired by the timeless tale of William Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing, became an unprecedented sensation, raking in an impressive $220 million at global box offices.

As a fervent admirer, I’m thrilled to share that according to The Hollywood Reporter, my beloved director Gluck’s upcoming film project has found a home at Universal Pictures! Titled “One Night Only,” this cinematic gem boasts a screenplay penned by the talented Travis Braun. Can’t wait to see it unfold on the big screen!

What do we know about Will Gluck’s One Night Only movie?

In a fascinating narrative, I, as a viewer, discover a story about two individuals, a male and a female, who are compelled to seek companionship on the solitary night when societal norms permit premarital intimacy within their community.

No casting information has been announced at this time. A release date has not yet been set.

An article by The Hollywood Reporter highlights that Braun’s script took the top position on the 2024 Black List, an annual compilation of highly regarded unproduced screenplays, which was revealed in December. Remarkably, Braun had previously claimed the number one spot on the 2023 Black List with “Bad Boy,” making him the unique writer to achieve this feat two consecutive years. Not long ago, it was disclosed that “Bad Boy” – a story revolving around a serial killer’s canine companion – will star Ke Huy Quan and Lili Reinhart.

Under the Olive Bridge Entertainment label, Gluck is set to present a unique, one-time event titled “One Night Only.” In this endeavor, Jacqueline Monetta from Olive Bridge will additionally take on the role of producer.

Before directing “Anyone But You”, Will Gluck first directed a feature film in 2009 titled “Fired Up!”. Subsequently, he directed “Easy A” in 2020, followed by “Friends with Benefits” in 2011, “Annie” in 2014, “Peter Rabbit” in 2018 and “Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway” in 2021. Interestingly, he did not write the screenplay for “Easy A”, but was responsible for all other films’ scripts.
