As the live-action remake of “Snow White,” set to hit cinemas in just a month from now, sparks curiosity among moviegoers, they are eagerly anticipating predictions for its box office performance. They also wonder if this film will fare well or falter. Notably, this new adaptation is directed by Marc Webb, renowned for his work on films such as 500 Days of Summer and the Spider-Man series.
Here is the box office prediction for Snow White explored.
How much is Snow White predicted to make at the box office?
Snow White is estimated to make $63-70 million in its first three days.
According to The Quorum’s analysis, this figure seems to be within the same ballpark as Maleficent from 2014 and the live-action Cinderella from 2015. Maleficent earned $69.4 million during its opening weekend, while the 2015 live-action Cinderella opened with $67.8 million.
To elaborate, the projected opening for Snow White falls between $63-70 million, surpassing the debut of The Hunger Games: Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes at $44.6 million, marking a new high for actress Rachel Zegler in terms of opening weekends.
Additionally, The Quorum indicates that the film boasts 59% recognition, 46% enthusiasm, 43% desire among viewers to catch the movie in cinemas, and 52% readiness to pay for watching the film.
Will Snow White flop or succeed?
It remains to be seen whether Snow White will flop or succeed.
The movie has been embroiled in debates and received significant backlash prior to its premiere, largely due to comments perceived as disrespectful by Rachel Zegler in an interview with ExtraTV in 2022. In this conversation, she described the original 1937 film as “unusual” and referred to Snow White’s love interest as a “stalker,” even joking about potentially removing his scenes.
Eventually, Zegler conveyed feelings of sorrow regarding the hate during an interview with Variety. In addition, she provided further explanation for her previous statements, stating that the character Snow White in the upcoming movie has aspirations beyond romance.
On March 21st, 2025, Snow White will be shown in cinemas. Alongside Zegler, the cast includes Andrew Burnap, Gal Gadot, Martin Klebba, Ansu Kabia, Dujona Gift-Simms, and Joshmaine Joseph, with others also featured.
