Malayalam star Shine Tom Chacko handed a clean chit for 10-year-old narcotics case in Kerala

Actor Shine Tom Chacko from Malayalam cinema has been granted notable relief in the persisting narcotics case he is involved in. To clarify, Shine Tom Chacko was among eight individuals charged in a 2015 drug-related case in Kerala. During a search operation conducted at an apartment in Kadavanthra, they were found with substantial amounts of illegal substances.

According to Manorama News’s reports, the court in Ernakulam, after careful examination, found there was not enough proof to convict Shine Tom Chacko and his 7 co-accused individuals. The court has therefore released them from their charges.

It seems the police were unable to produce any laboratory evidence showing that the suspect had taken drugs initially. Interestingly, the specimens handed over by the investigators for analysis in Delhi and Hyderabad labs did not reveal any trace of drugs.

The investigation and search at the house were initiated following a piece of information we received. Subsequently, Shine Tom Chacko and the other seven suspects were taken into custody based on the evidence presented in the report and eyewitness accounts.

Additionally, three other suspects who had reportedly supplied drugs to them were also arrested.

Currently, Shine Tom Chacko is receiving attention for his roles in the film industry. Recently, he acted in Mammootty’s movie, “Dominic and the Ladies’ Purse.” In addition, he will be featured in upcoming Malayalam films such as “L2: Empuraan,” starring Mohanlal, and “Bazooka” with Mammootty.
