Viswam OTT release date: When and where to watch Gopichand and Srinu Vaitla’s action comedy film

Gopichand‘s action drama titled Viswam hit theaters on October 11th, 2024, but it received a mixed reception from viewers. Despite being highly anticipated as Srinu Vaitla’s return to directing, the public response was not particularly positive. Consequently, the film became available on OTT platforms in November.

Currently, you can find the movie “Viswam” streaming online on Amazon Prime Video following a less-than-satisfying stint at the box office. For those who prefer, it’s offered in its authentic Telugu dialect.

The movie titled “Viswam” is an action drama in Telugu, featuring Gopichand, Kavya Thapar, Jisshu Sengupta, Vennela Kishore among others in significant roles. This production, penned and helmed by Srinu Vaitla, is brought to you by the combined efforts of Venu Donepudi and TG Vishwa Prasad under Chitralayam Studios and People Media Factory respectively.

Regarding the technical aspects of the movie, it’s worth noting that Chaitan Bharadwaj and Bheems Ceciroleo collaborated on the music composition. The visuals were skillfully captured by K.V Guhan, while Amar Reddy Kudumula was responsible for the editing process.

In Viswam, we follow the narrative of Gopichand, who journeys back to India to shield his father’s reputation. Deeply respecting his dad, Gopi sets out on a mission to thwart Khureshi from carrying out a destructive attack on Hyderabad. The movie centers around how Gopi, with his intelligence, manages to protect the city of Hyderabad. Additionally, there is a romantic subplot between Gopichand and Kavya Thapar’s character, Sameera.

In a surprising turn of events, the highly anticipated film “Viswam,” expected to mark Srinu Vaitla’s return to success after the 2018 flop “Amar Akbar Antony,” fell short of meeting today’s audience expectations. The once-popular director known for hits like “Dookudu” and “King,” Venky, seemed unable to captivate viewers this time around. Many critics argued that “Viswam” appeared as an outdated tale in need of a fresh approach.
