Why Fans Think Joy Behar Is Leaving The View

Fans are curious as to whether Joy Behar‘s absence from The View is just a brief hiatus or indicative of something more significant. Given that she has been absent for an entire week, viewers have begun to ponder her whereabouts. With Star Jones temporarily filling in and Whoopi Goldberg taking on her moderator duties again on Friday, the question remains when we can expect Behar’s return.

As an ardent fan, let me dive deeper into the reason behind Behar’s absence from The View, the insights shared by her fellow hosts, and when we can expect her return to grace our screens once more.

Where was Joy Behar last week and has she left The View?

For the past week, Joy Behar has been away from The View, leaving viewers curious about her location. On Thursday, February 6, Whoopi Goldberg clarified her absence, saying “Joy isn’t here right now. We’re wishing her a successful opening night. It’s tonight” (as reported by Parade). Behar appeared on the show on Monday, February 3, but was absent on Tuesday and Wednesday, with former co-host Star Jones standing in for her instead.

Harriet is currently unavailable because she’s immersed in her off-Broadway play titled “My First Ex-Husband,” which had its first performance last week at the Mac-Haydn Theater in New York. Not only did she pen the script, but she’s also taking on a role in it, sharing the stage with Tovah Feldshuh, Susie Essman, and Adrienne C. Moore.

Starting February 26th, I’ll be joined by Susan Lucci, Tonya Pinkins, Judy Gold, and Cathy Moriarty in the show. From March 26th onwards, Veanne Cox, Jackie Hoffman, Gina Gershon, and Andrea Navedo will join our cast. Can’t wait to game with these amazing talents!

On The View, Goldberg explained that Behar’s absence was prearranged and did not disclose the exact date of her return. During last week’s broadcast, Goldberg filled in for Behar as moderator, playfully remarking to the audience, “It’s Friday and yes, I’m here,” implying they shouldn’t fiddle with their TV settings.

As a passionate gamer, I’ve always had a secret love for the stage. Throughout my journey, I’ve graced the boards in productions like The Food Chain and The Vagina Monologues. I even penned and starred in my own one-woman show, “Me, My Mouth, and I,” which was a personal and exciting creative venture for me.

According to reports, it hasn’t been confirmed yet, but it seems like Sunny Hostin could be returning to “The View” as early as Tuesday, February 11.
