Bangalore Days actor Ajith Vijayan passes away at the age of 57 in Kochi

57-year-old Malayalam actor Ajith Vijayan tragically passed away in Kochi on Sunday, February 9th. His surviving family members include his wife Dhanya, as well as his daughters Gowri and Gayatri, according to a report from PTI. The cause of his sudden death has yet to be disclosed.

Ajith Vijayan built an impressive reputation in the Indian film and TV industry. He gained acclaim for his acting roles in Oru Indian Pranayakatha, Bangalore Days, Amar Akbar Anthony, and Anju Sundarikal (Kullante Bharya).

2014 saw the debut of Bangalore Days, a heartfelt coming-of-age drama directed by Anjali Menon. This production was brought to life under the labels of Anwar Rasheed Entertainments and Weekend Blockbusters. The talented cast included Dulquer Salmaan, Fahadh Faasil, Nazriya Nazim, Nivin Pauly, Parvathy Thiruvothu, among others.

In 205 Indian theaters, the movie premiered, marking one of the most extensive launches for a Malayalam film at that point in time. It garnered significant acclaim from both critics and viewers, eventually raking in around Rs 45 crore and becoming one of the highest-grossing Malayalam films to date.
