In a video posted by The Hashtag Show (previously Twitter), he made clear that he’d welcome opportunities with both DC and Marvel. Maridueña stated, “Being Nova in the Marvel Cinematic Universe would be awesome too.” He continued, “Absolutely, that sounds fantastic.” The actor further mentioned, “I’m prepared for any roles coming my way, mate. I’ll get ready for whatever you need me to do.

For quite some time now, there’s been buzz that Maridueña could portray Nova in Marvel. In an interview with ComicBook back in October 2022, he directly spoke about these rumors, saying, “I’ve heard that one before. You know, DC was the first to act on ‘let’s have a Latin superhero.’ They’re talking the talk and walking the walk.

Additionally, Xolo Maridueña expressed his enthusiasm for portraying Sam Alexander’s Nova, stating, “Should the Nova project materialize swiftly, I’d be thrilled to explore if there’s a Sam Alexander Nova character. It could attract more audience members. We’ll find out what they decide.
