PUBG Mobile LMG Tier List (2025): All Light Machine Guns, Ranked

Equipped with a large ammunition magazine, remarkable adaptability, and an ability to suppress enemy fire, light machine guns (LMGs) can be pivotal weapons in helping you clinch victory in PUBG Mobile. Despite being outmatched in long-distance skirmishes, they prove their worth in close and medium-range battles, making them a weapon class that deserves attention over others.

In this tutorial, you will uncover the positioning of every Light Machine Gun (LMG) within PUBG Mobile, using our tier ranking system. We have meticulously analyzed each LMG’s statistics, handling characteristics, and strategic worth to provide you with a competitive advantage in-game.

All Light Machine Guns in PUBG Mobile, Ranked

As a gamer immersed in PUBG Mobile, I’ve found myself with only three LMGs (Light Machine Guns) to pick from. Given the limited arsenal at my disposal, making the right choice among these guns is not just an option, it’s crucial for success in each game.

We’ll assist you in making that decision using our tier ranking system. To determine our rankings, we’ve taken into account various factors such as the Light Machine Guns’ performance in terms of damage output, maneuverability, ease of use, and overall dependability during battles. The highest-ranked LMGs fall under the S-tier (the best), followed by the A-tier (average performers), and finally the F-tier (the lowest performing).

S-Tier

The S-Tier LMGs are:

  • MG3

As a dedicated PUBG Mobile enthusiast, I can confidently say that my go-to LMG is the mighty MG3. This beast boasts two firing modes – a blazing 990 rounds per minute for close-quarter situations and a more controlled 660 rounds per minute for long-range engagements. However, if you’re like me who prefers to get up close and personal, stick with the high-speed mode, as the MG3 was primarily designed for intense close-range combat.

In their most recent upgrade, the MG3 saw some satisfactory enhancements. Specifically, developers increased the Damage and Body Damage Multiplier from 1 to 1.05. Additionally, they reduced the MG3’s recoil, resulting in a slightly smoother and more manageable fire pattern for the weapon.

A-Tier

The A-Tier LMGs are:

  • DP-28

As a gamer, I find the DP-28 to be an impressively stable weapon compared to the MG3. It may not spit out rounds as quickly, but its bullets zip through the air with more oomph, maintaining their trajectory even over extended battles, making long-range skirmishes a whole lot more enjoyable for me.

In our classification, we placed the DP-28 in the A-tier because it has a relatively slow reload speed and its magazine can only hold 47 bullets per round, which is slightly fewer than the MG3. Furthermore, during close-range combat, the DP-28 does not fare well against the MG3, as this situation is typically the most frequent in the game.

F-Tier

The F-Tier LMGs are:

  • M249

In our classification of light machine guns, the M249 ranks at the bottom. Even though it carries 100 rounds of 5.56mm ammunition per magazine, has minimal recoil, and a rapid fire rate akin to the M16A4, it fails to surpass other LMGs, assault rifles, and submachine guns in performance.

Every time I jump into PUBG Mobile matches, I find these tier lists super helpful to understand the current gameplay meta. Each weapon’s power seems to depend a lot on my own skills as a gamer, so I like to adapt my strategy accordingly!
