Actress Sarah Michelle Gellar, who was nominated for a Golden Globe, has now shared her thoughts about the upcoming revival of “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” on Hulu, produced by 20th Television and Searchlight Television.
According to reports, the iconic supernatural drama series is set for a comeback, with Nora Zuckerman and Lila Zuckman taking charge as writers, directors, and showrunners. Additionally, Chloé Zhao, an Academy Award-winning filmmaker, has joined the team as a director and executive producer. Alongside her are Gellar, Gail Berman, Fran Kuzui, Kaz Kuzi, and Dolly Parton in similar roles. The plot is said to revolve around a new Slayer, with Gellar appearing in a recurring role instead of leading the series.

After listening to Zhao’s ideas for the project, she became convinced of its potential. She reassured fans that the project would not go ahead unless they could locate a suitable story to resurrect Buffy.
In a recent statement, Geller expressed that she’s been attentive to fan requests for another ‘Buffy’ series and delving back into her world. However, heeding those desires wasn’t straightforward unless he was certain they could get it just right. The process has taken time, and it isn’t complete yet. He guarantees the show will only be made if they can pull it off perfectly. Moreover, he mentioned that they are on the right track for achieving this goal. Geller feels fortunate to embark on this journey with four exceptionally gifted actresses who share his love for ‘Buffy’, and, of course, yours too. He extends gratitude to all fans who never stopped asking for a revisit, as this new project will be dedicated to them.
