Haemimont Games, known for creating Jagged Alliance 3 and several Tropico titles, has been bought by Paradox Interactive. This week, Paradox announced that they now own all of Haemimont’s shares and will incorporate the development team into their larger group moving forward. However, both parties have emphasized that this acquisition won’t result in any changes to Haemimont’s leadership or ongoing projects, which should proceed as planned following the deal’s completion.
In a press statement on their website, Paradox Interactive announced the details of their acquisition. Given Haemimont Games’ extensive background in management simulation games, which is also a specialty of Paradox, this acquisition appears to be an ideal match. Haemimont’s latest release, Jagged Alliance 3, has garnered widespread acclaim from both critics and players alike upon its launch.
