After several weeks of anticipation, it wasn’t Becky Lynch who made a return at the WWE Royal Rumble 2025 as speculated. Lynch last graced our screens in May 2024 when she lost her title challenge against Liv Morgan for the Women’s World Championship.
After her contract ended following a defeat, Becky Lynch has recently renewed her deal with the WWE. Prior to this announcement, she had already been keeping busy with the company, appearing outside the ring and advertising RAW’s forthcoming shift to Netflix.

Reports: Becky Lynch wasn’t included in WWE Royal Rumble 2025 plans
According to Fightful Select, Becky Lynch was initially not intended to participate in the WWE Royal Rumble 2025, and she was not present at Indianapolis, Indiana, for the event. The event’s match plans had already been established without her involvement, and her absence was not a last-minute change. Prior to the Royal Rumble, Lynch had no scheduled commitment, and she was not part of the creative planning for the show.
With WrestleMania 41 looming, fans are buzzing with anticipation about what WWE has in store for Becky Lynch. Planned matchups include Charlotte Flair squaring off against Tiffany Stratton, while Rhea Ripley prepares to clash with Bianca Belair.
It’s still uncertain if Lynch plans to challenge a champion when she comes back, but we’ll have to wait and see if she’ll be included in future matches.
