This figure represents an increase of more than $1.5 billion compared to the ad revenue contribution in Q3 2024 ($8.9 billion). Additionally, it surpassed the ad revenue from Q4 2023 by over $200 million, which was around $9.2 billion.
In the fourth quarter of 2024, Google recorded an impressive revenue of $96.47 billion, with YouTube contributing more than 10% of that total throughout the quarter. Notably, this occurred during the US Election in 2024, which might have contributed to YouTube’s strong performance in Q4. As such, it could be challenging for YouTube to surpass these earnings in future quarters.
