The first season, known as The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, saw Evan Peters portray the main character, while the second season, The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story, featured Nicholas Alexander Chavez and Cooper Koch in leading roles.
In the third season of this series, titled “Monster: The First Monster,” the narrative shifts to focus on Ed Gein. Earlier on, director Ryan Murphy had a conversation with Collider regarding the choice of Ed Gein as the subject for Monster Season 3. He explained that after they completed the Menendez story, he and Ian Brennan started pondering about this question: “From where did our fascination with serial killers originate? When and how did this phenomenon begin?
Murphy went on to explain, “From our investigation, it appears that Ed was the first individual to achieve such high-profile celebrity status. His fame started immediately upon his arrest, something unprecedented at the time. It turned out that he was driven, as we later discovered – but he also suffered from schizophrenia. The circumstances behind his rise to fame make for a fascinating tale.
