The long-awaited trailer for “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” has been released, offering a closer look at the upcoming Marvel film. Let’s discuss our initial impressions of this extended sneak peek into the upcoming “Fantastic Four” movie and gauge fan reactions. Here is our take on the trailer.
The Fantastic Four: First Steps trailer review
The debut of The Fantastic Four: First Steps is set to be a pivotal event in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), whether it proves groundbreaking or challenging. It’s well known that Disney has faced challenges in its Marvel film productions since the conclusion of Endgame, as viewers seem to experience ‘superhero exhaustion.’
In essence, “First Steps” is planning a return to the origins, introducing Marvel’s initial family within the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe). The trailer effectively captures the early comic book style of Jack Kirby and Stan Lee, set in a 1960s-inspired Earth. The four main characters are convincingly portrayed in their classic blue-and-white uniforms. Although the CGI on The Thing appears slightly off — conveying expressions and emotions on an actual rock — it’s refreshing to see a visually accurate representation of the character, compared to what was presented in 2015’s Fant4stic.
Galactus briefly appears in the trailer, withholding a complete view of the character until the movie’s complete premiere – something I eagerly anticipate. The remainder of the plot details are scarce in the preview, opting instead to highlight the Fantastic Four family dynamics. And let me tell you, Michael Giacchino’s score is outstanding, radiating hope and optimism – perfectly encapsulating the essence of a Fantastic Four film.
RATING:
Rating: 4 out of 5.

Over on The Fantastic Four subreddit, users have largely praised the trailer.
One spectator commented that it resembles, has the texture, emits sounds, and delivers impacts just as the Fantastic Four ought to. It encompasses family, emotion, style, and a dash of humor with its thrill. This is how the Fantastic Four should be portrayed. Can’t wait to watch this!
“Ebon looks amazing as Ben, and although I think he could’ve been made a bit larger, I appreciate the blend of real-world elements and digital effects, and the costumes are spot-on. Fingers crossed for a longer trailer later on. Alongside Superman, this is my most eagerly awaited movie of the year.
