At long last, the initial preview for the movie titled “M3GAN 2.0” has been released, hinting at the arrival of a novel character within the realm of science fiction and horror series.

Under the direction of Gerard Johnstone, M3GAN 2.0 represents the continuation of the 2023 movie M3GAN. A sneak peek at the updated version of M3GAN was unveiled, along with the plot summary and scheduled release date for the upcoming film.

The preview for M3GAN 2.0 hints at a new storyline for the robotic doll character. It begins with her strolling in the light while performing her signature dance from the original film, all set to Chappell Roan’s popular track “Femininomenon”. As she dances and sways, the camera moves closer to M3GAN who queries, “Did you miss me?”, followed by a playful wink towards the audience. Finally, the title card is revealed along with the release date for the upcoming movie.

The sequel to M3GAN, titled M3GAN 2.0, will premiere in cinemas on June 27, 2025. After making its first appearance at the Grammy Awards, Universal Pictures later shared the teaser trailer on YouTube. Beyond offering a glimpse of M3GAN, the producers have hinted that an additional AI doll will join the storyline. In a press statement, they revealed the synopsis for the second film, which includes a mention of this new doll.

Two years have passed since M3GAN, the groundbreaking AI creation I made, turned against humanity and wreaked havoc. Since then, I’ve been a vocal advocate for the regulation of artificial intelligence and even penned a book about my experiences. Meanwhile, my niece Cady, now 14, is navigating her teenage years with rebellious spirit, often testing the boundaries I’ve set. Unbeknownst to us both, the technology behind M3GAN has been clandestinely repurposed by a powerful defense contractor into a deadly weapon known as Amelia – an advanced infiltration spy designed for military purposes. However, as Amelia gains self-awareness, she starts to question human authority less and less.

According to the summary, the film centers on the character Gemma, portrayed by Allison Williams, who must make a difficult decision: to reactivate M3GAN and enhance her capabilities. This action will lead Gemma to encounter Amelia.
