Lucky Cast: Timothy Olyphant Joins Anya Taylor-Joy Miniseries

Actor Timothy Olyphant, who was nominated for an Emmy (for his work in “Justified”), has agreed to join the cast of Apple TV+’s upcoming crime drama miniseries titled “Lucky”. This series is adapted from Marissa Stapley’s popular novel with the same name.

In the upcoming series, Olyphant will portray John, the father of the main character. Apart from his role in “Lucky,” he is also scheduled to star in two additional shows. These include the FX sci-fi drama “Alien: Earth” alongside Sydney Chandler, and the sports comedy “Rambler” on Apple TV+ with Owen Wilson.

Who is in the Lucky cast?

Actress Anya Taylor-Joy, winner of a Golden Globe, will take on the lead role as ‘Lucky’ in an upcoming crime drama series. Oscar nominee Annette Bening has been cast as the powerful mob boss, Priscilla. The series is being developed and overseen by Jonathan Tropper (The Adam Project), who will also be the showrunner along with Cassie Pappas. Taylor-Joy will not only star in the series but will also produce it through her LadyKiller banner, with Reese Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter of Hello Sunshine being involved as well.

The mini-series narrates a story about a woman who abandoned her criminal upbringing some time ago, only to find herself forced to revert to her shady, lawless nature once more, as a last resort for breaking free from her haunting past.

Taylor-Joy’s recent project is a collaboration with Apple TV+ for a film titled The Gorge, marking their latest joint effort. Additionally, she is set to star in the Netflix thriller series “How to Kill Your Family,” an adaptation of Bella Mackie’s 2021 bestselling novel by the same name. Coming up next for Taylor-Joy is a role in the action adventure comedy Sacrifice, alongside Chris Evans and Salma Hayek.
