Initially, the introduction of the Battle Royale mode in World of Warcraft was met with skepticism and disapproval by long-time players, who felt that they were being compelled to participate in a PvP mode against their will. The rocky start of Battle Royale was due to oversized rewards and players abusing bugs to evade the game zone by standing on towers. To add to the growing list of community controversies, there have been two recent incidents where players unintentionally finished the game ahead of others. Here’s a rundown of the latest drama that has the WoW community buzzing.
The Price Of Poor Timing
In the process of strategically picking the best spot for landing, scouting for armor or weapons, and carefully selecting which weapons to carry – only to find that all this careful planning was pointless when user Circesalami accidentally performed a speedrun in any% mode. As they leisurely wandered around the lobby, biding time before being blasted out of a cannon onto the battlefield, Circesalami decided to climb a hill to appreciate the game’s stunning graphics… Or so they thought.

In a manner reminiscent of a Looney Tunes cartoon, Circesalami suffered a misfortune while ascending, falling fatally right as the game was about to start. The unfortunate incident left him in a cannon, ready to be launched onto the battlefield. It seemed as though Circesalami’s match had already been forfeited before it began. One might wonder if, without the end screen interrupting, the fallen player could have unintentionally struck and eliminated an opponent.
Chicken Chaos Strikes
In the comments, a user named Kaia64 shared an intriguing anecdote. Before the game began, they witnessed someone in the lobby tossing chicken coops filled with animals off the dock. The unusual sight piqued their interest, despite it being something that would upset animal welfare groups. They moved closer to get a better look at the strange scene unfolding.
In a similar scenario, it was terribly unfortunate that Kaia64 encountered a furious chicken assault just as she did, given that they seemed to identify her as an associate. The twist being that Kaia64 emerged from the cannon still alive, but ultimately succumbed to the wounds inflicted by the chickens, arriving at the battlefield already deceased. It’s only fair to say that if even NPC (Non-Player Character) chickens prove lethal, a battle royale experience for Kaia64 would have been brief regardless.
