As a hardcore One Direction fan, I was taken aback when I found myself face-to-face with Zayn Malik at the Shrine Expo Hall in LA, during his Stairway to the Sky tour! What a thrilling surprise!
During his “Dusk Till Dawn” performance, the singer elicited thunderous applause from the audience when he revealed that Louis Tomlinson, a former bandmate, was in attendance. This unexpected reunion sparked excitement not only among those present at the venue but also on social media, where the term “Zouis” (a fusion of Zayn and Louis) began trending. As a result, internet users reacted enthusiastically to this long-awaited meeting of the two ex-bandmates.
In a video posted on X (previously known as Twitter), Malik can be heard commenting, “Tonight has a special feel to it. An old friend of mine is presently cheering me on.” Despite denying that he disclosed Tomlinson’s whereabouts within the venue, he glanced towards the balcony and mentioned, “He’s hiding somewhere around here.
