What happens in the Dark Winds Season 3 trailer?

In the video, you’ll find Joe Leaphorn tackling his significant upcoming case, surrounding the vanishing of two young boys. The plot hints at how this fresh investigation will compel Joe to delve into his troubled past as a means to combat an ominous presence. Alongside Joe, the series boasts Kiowa Gordon (known from The Red Road and Roswell, New Mexico), Jessica Matten (from Rez Ball, Tribal, Burden of Truth), and Deanna Allison (credits include Accused and Edge of America).

The TV series “Dark Winds” is developed and overseen by Graham Roland, who’s based on Tony Hillerman’s Leaphorn & Chee novel series. For Season 3, we have Jenna Elfman playing FBI Special Agent Sylvia Washington, Bruce Greenwood as Tom Spenser, Raoul Max Trujillo as Budge, Tonantzin Carmelo as Border Patrol Agent Eleanda Garza, Alex Meraz as Border Patrol Agent Ivan Muños, Terry Serpico as Border Patrol Senior Chief Ed Henry, Derek Hinkey as Shorty Bowlegs, Phil Burke as Michael Halsey, and Christopher Heyerdahl as Dr Reynolds joining the cast. Alongside his acting role, McClarnon is also involved in executive production, joined by George R.R. Martin, Robert Redford, Anne Hillerman, Chris Eyre, Vince Gerardis, and Tina Elmo.

In the third season, set six months after the events of the previous one, Lt. Joe Leaphorn (McClarnon) and Jim Chee (Gordon) resume their work as they delve into the mystery surrounding the vanishing of two boys. All that remains are a deserted bicycle and a patch of bloodstained ground. Meanwhile, Bernadette Manuelito (Matten), now hundreds of miles away from home with the Border Patrol, struggles to adapt but unwittingly uncovers a complex scheme involving illegal human and drug trafficking that has far-reaching consequences.
