Sadly, social media sensation Nahsiyah Turner passed away as a result of injuries received during a shooting that occurred at the Los Cerritos Center shopping mall in Southern California. (PEOPLE reported this news)
On Saturday, January 18, 2025, an unfortunate event occurred – a shooting incident at the mall. When the police were informed, they reached the location by 7:30 p.m., where they discovered Turner in her car, suffering from a gunshot wound to her chest.
According to a medical report, an individual later identified as Nahsiyah Turner, who couldn’t be positively identified initially, wasn’t breathing when found at the scene. Unfortunately, they passed away in the hospital. The ongoing investigation aims to uncover more details about Turner’s death.
On January 22nd, Steve DeJong from the Homicide Bureau of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department spoke with The Griffin Gazette about an event. According to him, deputies from the Cerritos station were dispatched to the parking lot of the Cerritos mall due to a report of a gunshot victim. Upon arrival, they found a 17-year-old girl who had been shot. DeJong also mentioned that further details about the situation and investigation are not available at this time, as the investigation is ongoing.
At the time of her passing, Nahsiyah Turner was flourishing on TikTok with her brief videos and had approximately 220,000 followers. Since then, her follower count has grown significantly, surpassing 300,000.
