Lawrence clarified that he had separated from Winnen three months prior and chose to dismiss Memmel only the day before his declaration. Without disclosing particulars, he expressed that their actions were in direct opposition to his principles, describing the situation as “deeply saddening.” He penned, “My goal has always been to establish a platform for love and happiness through music. Learning that this platform has been tainted by others’ actions is deeply saddening. Regrettably, these circumstances have prompted me to make the difficult decision that COIN can no longer function as a band.
Consequently, he made it clear that the project called COIN would no longer continue. To those who are supporters of the band, Lawrence expressed his sorrow for any letdown this news might cause.
