Who Is Returning on Young & Restless This Week?

For over four decades since it first graced the small screen in 1973, “The Young and the Restless” has brought forth and bid farewell to numerous significant characters. Despite many exiting roles having taken a permanent leave from this long-running soap opera, there have been some cherished characters who’ve made an unforeseen return to the Y&R universe. Given that the show sticks to its traditional approach, speculation about beloved actors reprising their roles remains high even today. So, which characters might fans witness in the upcoming episodes of “The Young and the Restless”?

Which actors and characters are returning on The Young and the Restless this week?

This week on The Young and the Restless, the main character making a comeback is Cameron Kirsten, played by Linden Ashby. Ashby initially became part of the show’s cast back in 2003, but left unexpectedly in 2004.

In March 2023, he reappeared in the series. Unfortunately, his character, Kirsten, was written out in a June episode. However, to everyone’s delight, the character has returned, with Ashby taking on the role of Cameron Kirsten’s spirit. This ghostly version of the late Kirsten now torments Sharon Newman, who is grappling with inner conflicts.

Ray Wise’s character Ian Ward is set to reappear on the show for short stints, where he will continue his scheming ways. Additionally, Valarie Pettiford’s character Amy Lewis will have more screen time this week, as she features prominently in important scenes alongside Sean Dominic’s Nate and Zuleyka Silver’s Audra.

In a change that’s hard to miss for fans of The Young and the Restless, it’s not a beloved character returning this time. Instead, it’s the departure of Colleen Zenk, who played Jordan Howard for quite some time. Joining the soap opera in November 2023, Zenk left the show after her character, Jordan, met an unfortunate end. This happened when she unknowingly drank a cup of tea laced with poison.
