The movie’s captivating trailer was just released, and during the launch event, I shared some insights about the film’s potential performance in Vizag – a city that holds a special place in my personal history.
At the gathering, Chay confidently stated that Thandel is certain to make a significant impact on local box office earnings as his wife, Sobhita Dhulipala, shares the same hometown connection.
The actor further mentioned that if Thandel fails to deliver in Vizag, there’s a possibility he could lose the support of those at home.
In his own words, Chay shared, “I always check out the chatter surrounding my films in Vizag upon release. I firmly feel that if a movie thrives in Vizag, it’s destined for success globally. Vizag holds a special place in my heart.
At the gathering, the actor expressed, “I find it extraordinary that I fell in love with and wed a woman from Vizag. Notably, the political party I hail from originates from Vizag as well.
He added, “I’m asking everyone here: Let Thandel’s box office earnings make a big impact in Vizag, or I fear I’ll lose my reputation at home.
For those not in the know, following several years of dating, Chay got married to Sobhita in December 2024. Their wedding ceremony took place at Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad and was graced by many prominent figures from the movie industry.
Regarding the movie titled Thandel, it’s planning for a premiere on February 7, 2025. The narrative centers around a fisherman living in the Srikakulam area, who unintentionally ventures into Pakistani waters during a routine fishing excursion.
