Catherine O’Hara is teasing her upcoming role in The Last of Us Season 2.
Starting from January 2023, the television series adaptation of Naughty Dog’s game, “The Last of Us,” debuted on HBO. This compelling series was co-created by Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann, with Pedro Pascal portraying Joel Miller and Bella Ramsey taking on the role of Ellie.
In the upcoming months, we can anticipate the arrival of a second season for The Last of Us. Actress O’Hara has been chosen for this new season, and judging by the trailer that’s already been released, she seems to portray a therapist-like character who interacts with Joel. Yet, her role remains largely enveloped in mystery.

As I chatted with Entertainment Weekly, I spilled the beans about my character in The Last of Us Season 2 having a peculiar bond with Joel.
In my gaming world, there’s a character that has an unusual vibe, sort of a mysterious edge to her. It’s odd, yet somehow fits perfectly for some quirky, dark humor. I can’t quite put my finger on why it works, but it does, and I find myself chuckling at her antics. I wouldn’t want to dismiss the charm of her humor, no matter how peculiar it may seem.
O’Hara also teased that The Last of Us Season 2 is “way more intense if you know the game.”
She went on saying, “I truly enjoy collaborating with Pedro Pascal, not just him but also Bella. Amazing! Did that come across as intimidating? It often does. Yet, it’s not my comfort zone… You’re simply gracious for inviting me and I’ll strive to be a good visitor. They were incredibly kind to me and it was wonderful.
In the second season of The Last of Us, Gabriel Luna portrays Tommy, Rutina Wesley takes on the role of Maria, Kaitlyn Dever is Abby, Isabela Merced plays Dina, Young Mazino is Jesse, Danny Ramirez appears as Manny, and Jeffrey Wright stars as Isaac Dixon. There are several other actors joining them in this season too.
The Last of Us Season 2 will premiere on HBO and Max in April 2025.
