After the airing of Season 6 of “Virgin River”, actor Benjamin Hollingsworth, who plays Dan Brady in the series, has hinted at the possible release date for Season 7. Based on Robyn Carr’s long-running series of romantic novels, “Virgin River” first appeared on screens in December 2019. Since then, the show has produced five additional seasons, with the most recent one debuting on Netflix in December 2024.
Given that Season 6 ended with many storylines incomplete, viewers are anxiously looking forward to the next chapter. Recently, Hollingsworth expressed his opinions about the latest season and hinted at a potential release date for Virgin River Season 7.
Benjamin Hollingsworth hopes for Virgin River Season 7’s Christmas release
As per Benjamin Hollingsworth’s statements, we can expect Season 7 of Virgin River to debut around the festive period this year.
According to Hollingsworth’s comments to USA Today, he anticipates that Virgin River Season 7 will follow a similar production schedule as previous seasons and start filming in the spring and summer months. He added that he hopes the producers will continue their tradition of filming during Christmas time, calling it an excellent choice for holiday viewing.
Besides discussing the possible air date for Virgin River Season 7, Hollingsworth additionally shared his preferred character development. He appears to advocate for Brady pursuing a path of revenge following Elise Gatien’s Lark deceiving him by stealing his funds. Yet, the actor also hopes that Brady will delve into relationships with other show characters, such as Virgin River Fire Chief Kaia and his superior, Doc Vernon Mullins. “I believe it would be quite intriguing to have Doc and Brady spend some quality time together,” he commented.
Although the creators of Virgin River have confirmed a seventh season, they haven’t announced when it will air yet.
