Kanchana 4: Raghava Lawrence starrer to feature Pooja Hegde and Nora Fatehi in lead roles; Reports

It seems that Raghava Lawrence’s popular horror-comedy series Kanchana (Muni) may be releasing its fifth part soon, according to recent updates. The creators of the film are reportedly bringing in actors Pooja Hegde and Nora Fatehi for the main roles in this upcoming production.

According to a Hindustan Times report, actresses Pooja Hegde and Nora Fatehi have expressed interest in joining a project, although official confirmations are still pending. Furthermore, it’s said that director Lawrence will helm the film, with rumors suggesting he may also take on the lead role, much like his previous projects.

Furthermore, as per another report from Track Tollywood, this upcoming film may be produced on a large scale, aiming to reach audiences nationwide. Yet, it’s important to note that an official announcement regarding this matter has not been released by the producers or the cast members.

Initially, there had been speculations that Ms. Murunal Thakur could star as the main character in the next chapter of the popular horror-comedy series. Yet, both the actress herself and director Raghava Lawrence clarified that this wasn’t accurate.

In 2007, Raghava Lawrence developed the Muni/Kanchana film series. The initial release, simply called “Muni”, tells the story of Ganesh, a fearful young man with a deep-rooted fear of ghosts. One day, he becomes possessed by a spirit seeking vengeance against those who had wronged and ultimately killed him.

Continuing along those lines, the actor-director has produced four films up to now, namely Muni 2: Kanchana, Muni 3: Kanchana 2: Ganga, and Muni 4: Kanchana 3. Although each film shares the same theme and character development, they are standalone spiritual sequels that do not connect in any narrative way beyond featuring the same cast members.

In the future, Raghava Lawrence recently took center stage in the upcoming 2023 film titled Jigarthanda DoubleX. This film, helmed by Karthik Subbaraj, serves as a prequel to his earlier work, Jigarthanda, which starred Siddharth and Bobby Simha.

Additionally, Raghava Lawrence will soon be seen in films such as Adhigaram, Bullet, and the Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Cinematic Universe (LCU) production titled Benz.
