On COD: Mobile, you’ll find a varied group of gamers. Some users may opt to change their server settings in order to connect with players from various regions due to specific reasons.
However, they can’t change servers because the game doesn’t offer a straightforward method for doing so, which makes the process quite challenging.
Here’s a helpful overview on the latest updates regarding server switches in Call of Duty: Mobile, along with information on VPN usage and related topics.
How To Change Server In COD Mobile
In my gaming adventures with Call of Duty: Mobile, I’ve noticed there’s no option to switch servers – it automatically places me on the one nearest to my location instead.
Unfortunately, employing VPNs for playing on another server may lead to a permanent ban, hence utilizing a VPN isn’t advisable.
To test this out, we used VPN in a dummy account, which was not banned.
Following this, we took a closer look at the Call of Duty: Mobile player base, discovering that numerous gamers have employed Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) over the past few years without facing any bans.
But since Activision directly restricts VPN usage, we don’t recommend it, as not everyone is lucky.
In addition to that, you have the option to partly change the game’s region or server by using the Leaderboards. Here’s how you can do it:
1. Firstly, navigate to the game’s Leaderboard section.
2. Locate the server or region you wish to switch to and take note of its name or identifier.
3. Exit the game completely and close any background processes related to the game.
4. Restart the game on your device.
5. During the startup process, before you log in, change your device’s region or server settings to match the one you noted earlier.
6. Log back into the game and check if you have successfully connected to the desired server or region.
7. If not, repeat the process until you are connected to the correct server or region.
- Open COD: Mobile
- Go to ‘Multiplayer’
- Click on the ‘Leaderboards’ option available at the bottom of the screen
- Select the ‘Weapons’ tab
- Switch Region using the top drop-down menu
Performing this action may alter the area where you’re currently located, however, it won’t affect matchmaking or chatting. You’ll continue to get matched with servers closest to you.
So, it serves no use to players looking to play with players on a different server.
If either Activision or Garena introduces a server change option for Call of Duty: Mobile soon, we’ll make sure to revise and update this guide accordingly.
