Daredevil: Born Again’s Charlie Cox Suits Up for SFX Magazine’s New Cover

On the current issue of SFX Magazine, Charlie Cox dons his Daredevil attire on the cover, signaling the comeback of Matt Murdock in Daredevil: Born Again. This Disney+ series, slated for release on March 4, 2025, carries forward the narrative initially set up in the Netflix show. The storyline revolves around the intricate relationships between Murdock, Karen Page, Foggy Nelson, and Wilson Fisk, as well as Murdock’s dual identity as a lawyer and crime-fighter in Hell’s Kitchen.

New look at Charlie Cox’s Daredevil previewed in SFX Magazine Cover

As I flipped through the latest issue of SFX Magazine, my eyes were drawn to the striking cover starring none other than Charlie Cox, reprising his role as Daredevil. The headline announced the highly-anticipated return of the Man Without Fear in Daredevil: Born Again – a development that has me pumped up and ready for some action!

In the forthcoming Disney+ show, we follow Matt Murdock’s tale further – a legal professional who is also a blind crime fighter. He skillfully juggles his duties at the law office and his vigilante activities. The inaugural season kicks off on March 4, 2025.

In an interview with Empire, Cox clarified that the upcoming series is a progression rather than a complete reimagining of the Netflix series. Essentially, it’s not about reinventing Matt’s character or the storyline, but continuing from where we left off. As Cox put it, “The history carries on.” The relationships between Matt, Karen Page, and Foggy Nelson are still in place, with their law firm now known as Nelson, Murdock & Page.

As a devoted fan, I’d say that the series delves into my protagonist, Matt, navigating his double life as an attorney and a masked avenger. Over time, Matt, Foggy, and Karen have developed a solid groove. Matt has come to terms with his dual identity as a lawyer and a vigilante. However, things take a turn for the worse when unexpected events occur, as Cox puts it, “when the manure hits the fan.” The reemergence of Wilson Fisk, portrayed brilliantly by Vincent D’Onofrio, as the notorious Kingpin, poses a significant threat to this delicate equilibrium.

The series is helmed by directors Justin Benson & Aaron Moorhead, Michael Cuesta, Jeffrey Nachmanoff, and David Boyd, while Dario Scardapane serves as the showrunner. Executive producers are Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, and Brad Winderbaum. The talented cast includes Margarita Levieva, Michael Gandolfini, Jon Bernthal, among others.

Marvel Television grows its presence on Disney+ by introducing “Daredevil: Born Again,” a series that ties together old storylines and ushers in fresh chapters for the character Matt Murdock.
