After being postponed, the movie “Vidaamuyarchi” with Ajith Kumar will premiere on February 6, 2025. Director Magizh Thirumeni looked back at not having a star in his earlier project, “Thadam.
During an interview with The Hindu, Magizh shared that at first, another actor was being considered for the movie. However, conversations about this role eventually stalled. Then, Arun Vijay, who is more like a brother to him, frequently reached out. Arun Vijay was prepared to take on a new project but expressed interest in an action-packed film instead.
Thadam isn’t typically an action film, except for one fight scene. After watching it, Arun grasped the story and was eager to be involved. He spoke to a producer about it, and on Monday he had a meeting. By Sunday, he received a call from a prominent actor asking him to discuss the project with Lyca Productions. The director explained that the star had already spoken with them, and they could begin this project.
The director emphasized that at the time, he had already given his commitment to Arun Vijay for the project. Magizh pointed out that if they had made the movie with a major star under Lyca Productions, he could have demanded a significantly higher fee. As a filmmaker, the director opted to work with Arun Vijay instead of the bigger star’s offer.
Summing up, the director made it clear that he intends to state for the record that he wishes to collaborate with renowned artists and heroes. Consequently, he anticipates that his upcoming movie will feature a prominent actor or actress.
In the future, the director will release his movie titled Vidaamuyarchi, featuring Ajith Kumar as the main character. This action-packed suspense story revolves around a husband who takes extreme measures to rescue his wife after she is abducted. Alongside Ajith, notable actors like Trisha and Arjun Sarja will also be seen in significant roles.
