Shudder has unveiled the trailer for the forthcoming psychological thriller titled “The Dead Thing“. Starring Blu Hunt, who you might recognize from “The Originals” and “The New Mutants”, this chilling movie is set to premiere on streaming platforms starting Friday, February 14.

What happens in The Dead Thing trailer?
The video showcases Hunt in the role of Alex, a young lady who gets ghosted by someone she has feelings for. In her pursuit to find him, though, some peculiar occurrences begin happening to Alex. Apart from Hunt, the ensemble also consists of Katherine Hughes, John Karna, Brennan Mejia, Joey Millin, Ben Smith-Petersen, and Aerial Washington.
Elric Kane, who collaborated with Webb Wilcoxen on the script, is the director of ‘The Dead Thing.’ Hunt, who stars in the film, is also an executive producer along with Rebekah McKendry. The production team includes Matt Mercer and Monte Yazzie, while Iona Vasile and Star Rosencrans handle cinematography and editing duties.
Alex has been involved in superficial relationships through a dating app, but gets surprised when she matches with an enigmatic, captivating guy named Kyle. After a night filled with passion, Kyle vanishes, leaving Alex yearning for the one who stirred her emotions. As she hunts for him, she unexpectedly crosses paths with Kyle again, but also uncovers a terrifying supernatural truth. The duo become entangled in an intense web of obsession, addiction, desire, and adoration that carries serious implications.
