actor Thalapathy Vijay is now focusing on what’s believed to be his last movie, provisionally named Thalapathy 69. In anticipation of its release in October this year, they are rumored to reveal the film’s initial teaser and title on January 26, 2025.
As per a report by Valai Pechu, the creators plan to debut the film’s initial glimpse on this year’s Republic Day. Earlier, they had thought about revealing it during Pongal, but eventually opted for another approach instead.
At present, it’s all just conjecture; we’re still waiting for confirmation from the creators. Intriguingly, rumors circulate that the film could feature an army setting, which might explain why unveiling the first look on Republic Day could be strategic.
The upcoming movie, Thalapathy 69, initially announced in October 2024, has thus far only revealed a poster depicting a hand clutching a torch. It is rumored that this film will mark the final acting role of the megastar before he moves entirely into politics. The movie is being helmed by director H. Vinoth and is believed to be an action-drama with a mild political undertone.
Previously mentioned, the upcoming film stars Bobby Deol and Pooja Hegde in leading roles, making this Pooja’s second project alongside Vijay following their work together in the 2022 movie “Beast.
Beyond these actors, the film will feature a talented group of performers, such as Mamitha Baiju, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Prakash Raj, Priyamani, Narain, among others, taking on significant parts.
Previously, Thalapathy Vijay was featured in the film titled “The Greatest of All Time,” also known as “The GOAT.” This film, directed by Venkat Prabhu, is a sci-fi action production that follows the storyline of a former member of an anti-terrorist squad who loses his son during a mission. The tragic event leads to marital issues and sends him into a downward spiral. Many years later, his son reappears with a plot for revenge, which sets the stage for the central theme of the movie as we uncover what happened to him and the consequences of his return.
