Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Release Date Announced

A release date for Sonic the Hedgehog 4 has been announced.

Back in December 2024, news came out that they were planning a fourth movie for the Sonic the Hedgehog series. Initially, they projected a release date somewhere in the spring of 2027, although no exact day was confirmed at that time.

When is Sonic the Hedgehog 4’s release date?

Per Deadline, Paramount has now dated Sonic the Hedgehog 4 for March 19, 2027.

According to Deadline’s report, only Universal has a movie slated for wide release on March 19, 2027, with an as-yet unnamed film. On the other hand, a Warner Bros Legendary Monsterverse movie, still without a title, is scheduled for a release on Easter weekend, specifically on March 26 of that year.

The news follows close on the heels of Sonic the Hedgehog 3’s release, which has now topped the series as it sells digitally for a staggering sum. In the U.S. alone, it grossed approximately $219 million, with worldwide earnings exceeding $420 million. Across its entire run, the Sonic movie franchise has amassed over $1.1 billion in global box office sales.

So far, Jeff Fowler has been the director for all three Sonic the Hedgehog series films. As of now, it’s uncertain whether he will direct the fourth movie since no one has been assigned for that project yet.
