As a devoted fan, I can’t help but wonder about Amanda Clark-Stoner’s sudden departure from The Traitors Season 1. Initially, there were whispers online suggesting she might have been expecting a baby or choosing to leave for personal and professional reasons. Her strategic moves on the show had earned her much praise, but her early exit left fans feeling let down and fueled speculation. However, Stoner herself has recently clarified the circumstances surrounding her unexpected exit from The Traitors.
Here are the details.
Here’s why Amanda Clark-Stoner left The Traitors
Stone left The Traitors after testing positive for COVID-19.
Amanda, who is fondly known as a fan favorite, recently posted on her Instagram account (but the post has since been deleted), offering an explanation for her abrupt exit from the reality show. In her message, she warmly addressed her fans saying, “Hello again, it’s your always reliable Amanda.
Clearing up all the rumors about her leaving, she disclosed that, despite adhering to COVID safety measures, she unfortunately received a positive test result. Prior to traveling to Scotland for filming, she took every precaution such as wearing an N-95 mask on flights and self-quarantining. However, fate wasn’t kind to her—after finding out about the test, she expressed it as feeling like “the rug got pulled out from underneath me.” Sadly, she lamented over missing out on a fantastic chance to be part of the series.
Despite the challenging circumstances, she refused to be discouraged and instead showcased her optimistic character with pride in her performance as a Faithful. She felt content that no one among the deceitful players managed to betray and eliminate her throughout the game.
Moreover, she also debunked a range of rumors, concerning her pregnancy and departure. She also clarified, “Your girl is not a quitter. I could’ve broken both my legs, and I would have been hobbling around that castle trying to figure out who the traitors were. I was a faithful through and through, trying to figure it out.” (via ScreenRant)
Furthermore, she felt there were still matters left to settle in the game, suggesting a possible return for retribution. This comment left room for the possibility of her coming back at some point down the line, though as of yet, no decision has been made.
