Supercell is undeniably one of the leading forces in mobile gaming, known for producing popular games like “Clash of Clans” and “Brawl Stars,” as well as their latest creations such as “Squad Busters.” This Finnish team excels at designing games that are hard to resist, offering distinctive characters and game mechanics.
As a dedicated mobile gamer, it’s always a thrill when a new game is announced, and everyone in our gaming community holds their breath to hear what’s next. In the latest announcement, Supercell has unveiled something truly exciting – they’re calling it Project RISE, a brand-new mobile game that promises to be set within the captivating world of Clash. Just from this initial reveal, I can sense that we’re in for something big!
No Release Date Has Been Set for Project RISE
Due to the fact that Project RISE was just unveiled recently, there hasn’t been an official announcement about when it will be released yet. So, we can expect it to take some time before it becomes available worldwide.
In mid-July 2024, Supercell initiated the initial playtest for their game, a week-long pre-alpha version. This was followed by another, shorter test. These tests gave players an early glimpse into the mechanics, visual aesthetic, and overall ambiance of Project RISE.
From January 17th to 19th, 2025, the initial Alpha test for this game was accessible. This marked the first time that Android users could join in, as previous tests had been exclusive to iOS players.
How Gameplay Will Look Like in Project RISE
The interactive experience known as Project RISE features role-playing elements similar to games in the RPG genre, incorporating roguelike mechanics. Its unique aspect lies in its emphasis on cooperative multiplayer experiences.
As a devoted admirer, I’m excited about Supercell’s emphasis on fostering a robust social environment within their new game, Project RISE. To put it in simpler terms, this isn’t just about battling computer-controlled enemies (PvE). Instead, the game will stimulate collaboration among players and various characters, creating an engaging multiplayer experience where teamwork is key!
In this game, you’ll choose a character and team up with two other players to venture into a location called ‘The Tower’. Each time you play, you’ll discover a new level of the Tower, encountering different adversaries along the way. To progress, you’ll need to utilize your character’s unique skills. The objective is to climb as high as possible within the Tower.
As a long-time fan, I’ve noticed that the art style of the new project, Project RISE, bears a striking resemblance to Clash Heroes, a game that Supercell seemed to have put on hold in 2021. And you’d be correct! Yet, Supercell is quick to emphasize that the rest of the project is entirely new, built from the ground up. While it may draw inspiration from certain visual aspects of Clash Heroes, this exciting new venture will certainly carve its own unique identity.
In addition to Project RISE, Supercell is also developing a fresh, monster-hunting game titled mo.co. This new game will venture into a distinct universe unrelated to the Clash series, meaning it’ll feature unique visual styles, mechanics, and characters.
