Outlander: Blood of My Blood Teaser Trailer Previews Epic Love Story of Claire Fraser’s Parents

Starz recently unveiled a sneak peek at the upcoming Outlander prequel titled “Outlander: Blood of My Blood,” with plans for its release later this summer. The revelation precedes the premier of the seventh season finale of the original show, set to air tomorrow.

In this prequel, we follow the journeys of four pairs who overcome immense obstacles to stay together, as their heartwarming tales unfold throughout different eras. From the tumultuous battlegrounds of World War I to the harsh landscapes of 18th-century Scotland’s Highlands, these destined lovers must resist forces trying to pull them apart, intertwining in unexpected and unanticipated manners.

What happens in the Outlander: Blood of My Blood teaser trailer?

The video focuses on the remarkable love sagas of Jamie Fraser’s and Claire Randall’s ancestors, two sets of lovers who faced significant challenges in their pursuit of love. Actors Harriet Slater (from Pennyworth) and Jamie Roy (Condor’s Nest) will take on the roles of Jamie’s parents, Ellen MacKenzie and Brian Fraser, while Hermione Corfield (The Road Dance) and Jeremy Irvine (Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again) are cast as Claire’s parents, Julia Moriston and Henry Beauchamp.

Based on Diana Gabaldon’s hit novel series, Outlander: Blood of My Blood is penned and overseen by showrunner Matthew B. Roberts. Alongside him are executive producers Ronald D. Moore and Maril Davis, who originally developed the TV show through their production company Tall Ship Productions. The show comes from executive producer Story Mining & Supply Company and Sony Pictures Television, with Gabaldon contributing as a consulting producer as well.
